Okay, so I was browsing through Ravelry last night and I stumbled onto Kelly Maher’s Ribbed Lace Bolero.  It was so cute, I thought I would CO last night.  So I did.  I used Dream in Color’s Classy Ruby River worsted weight yarn.  I adore their yarn.  It’s so lovely and the colors are simple brilliant.  So I soared past the 2×2 rib, and floated by the first few rows of lace.  I’ve been working on it pretty much all day today, give or take a couple hours, and I’ll be working on it for a bit longer.  It’s absolutely fun and easy!  Here are a few pictures.

This is the latest picture.  It’s at about 9 inches including the ribbing.  I have to get to 20.5 before I can start the top of the ribbing.  It shouldn’t take too long.  More pics to come when it gets closer to the finish line!

For all of you who have seen my homespun and have wished it was yours to do as you please with, now’s your chance to get in on the action!

I have opened my very own Etsy store at Etsy.com  There you can view some of my homespun novelty yarns and fingerless mits that I have for sale!  Here are a few pictures to wet your appetites!

Now, these next pictures are items that are NOT for sale.  I just want to share the beautimous yarn that I homespun from a pre-dyed roving.

And the roving that I just got today.  It’s a beautiful sunset.

That’s all for now!  It’s such a gorgeous day out, I think I might go outside to spin!

So on Saturday, it was such a gorgeous day out, Matt and I decided to go to the park.  I took my Ashford with me.  And some roving.  It was a great day!  It was a little chilly, but the sun kept us warm enough to bear the chill for an hour or so.  Here’s a few pictures.

I also finished my fair isle hat!  It’s a just a tiny bit too small, but it fits without falling off.  It was made with Ultra Alpaca which is lovely to the touch, however it is very very fine and maybe a little too slippery.

All in all it turned out well.  And I have to brag about the new yarn that I got today.  It’s from Dream in Color.  One skein of Smooshy sock yarn, and one skein of Baby lace weight.  Mmm, can’t wait to dig into this!

Baby

That was Baby and this next one is Smooshy.

The colors may be a bit off because the lighting at the table wasn’t all that great.  But they are beautiful still.  That’s all for now.  More to come!
