I have been graciously invited to join Phat Fiber.  It’s basically a knit shop delivered right to your door.  The box includes samples from lots and lots of awesome indie designer’s trying to make it in the real world.  To learn more about this awesome program, visit www.phatfiber.blogspot.com.

So here we are again.  Another month has gone by.  I have little progress to show in regards to knitting and spinning.  Just living along day to day.  Here are the highlights since moving into the apartment.

This is Max, my Beta fish.  Sometimes I wonder if they ever get bored, swimming around in their little bowls?  And if they ever wonder what the ocean would be like.  According to the internet, they live in puddles in the wild, so I guess they are used to small spaces.  He’s feisty.

Flock and Fiber Run
Flock and Fiber Run

So Sue, Maria, and I went to Oregon Flock and Fiber this year.  It was so much fun.  We came away with way too much fiber.  I’m kicking myself because this is the only picture that I took.  I guess I was distracted with all of the fiber.

See Mom, I can cook!  Oven baked fish with mashed cauliflower and cesar salad.  Ha, so there!  ;)   Okay fine, so it’s frozen fish sticks with a bagged salad.  But I did mash up the cauliflower!
Okay so I have one sewn project to share with you.  It was a store sample made from a pattern by a company called Sew Liberated.  It’s the Mischevious Gnome Messenger Bag.  It was fun and easy to make.  If I made it again, I would make the strap a bit longer, and a loop closure instead of the ribbon tie, but other than that, I am really happy with the pattern directions, the fabric, and the way it turned out.
So until next time when I can share more fiber goodness with you, Au Reviour!
