To those of you who visit my blog as often as I visit other blogs, you may have noticed that it has been a very long time since my last post. Many reasons come into play here, though I won’t go into them. So, I will try to get back into my old groove of posting crafty things. I am in the process of sewing, quilting, knitting, spinning, and scrapbooking. There are lots of other things that I’m sure you will read about whether you want to or not, but we’ll get to those when we cross that bridge. Unfortunately, I have no fun pictures to share at this time, but I will be posting more and more often.
I went on vacation with my family to Astoria this past weekend and went to Anna Lena’s quilt shop where I stumbled upon some very gorgeous fabric by Marcus Brothers called Surf & Sand. It’s so pretty. I bought a total of 4 1/2 yards, so hopefully I can get a lot of use out of it.
I will try to send more later.
It’s a blistery day out. I have the day off work. I should be working on store samples, only I can’t muster up the energy. It’s so dreary out, but even so on days like today, there are still beautiful things if we only take the time to look. Matt took these pictures. I’d like to share them with you and remind you to find beauty in the most dreary of things.

On the knitting front, I have just been working on catching up on some old projects. I finished a pair of slippers that were supposed to be a Christmas gift. . . and I’m also working on a hat from my homespun. Once I muster enough energy to actually get on with my day, I’ll try to post some of those.
Matt and I went bowling last night. We had originally planned on going to an IMAX theater to see The Polar Express in 3D, but they were having a private event. Go figure it was the second time we have tried to see that movie. It would have been nice to know before we drove out there, but oh well. We decided to go bowling instead. It was pretty fun. My first game I broke 100, well, broke even anyway.
So I took some pictures of my shoes. . .don’t ask why, I’m not sure, I just thought it looked neat.

I have a website that I used before I discovered the wonderful world of WordPress and all of it’s goodies. You can check out that site here.
