I have quite a few projects that I would like to finish before I start any more knitting projects. A few of them have been in the works for a long time! Now that I don’t have school to occupy all of my time, I can focus on getting them done!
The first on the list is the Peaks and Valleys scarf. The pattern is on Ravelry. I started working on this one over a year ago. I spun the yarn from some fiber purchased from Dicentra Designs. I adore this color combination and think that it looks great with the pattern. I spun it very thin and Navajo plied it to keep the colors together.

I started The Traveling Woman shawl back before October 2010. I was going to use it as a wedding shawl, but the weight seemed too heavy for a wedding shawl so I decided to put it on hold. The yarn is a gorgeous merino silk blend. I think it is from Louet, but I can’t remember for sure. It’s been a while since I spun it.

And this last one is from Ysolda Teague, her Snapdragon Flip-Tops. I started these just after I made the Snapdragon Tam, but only got one finished. Just like a pair of socks, I can only ever seem to get one done at a time. But it’s on my list of things to finish this summer!

Of course I have a million other projects on the needles right now, but I really don’t have the time to put all of them on here. I have most of them up on Ravelry, so if you’re in that neighborhood, look me up! ^_^

It has been a long time coming but Matt is one step closer to getting my mom’s sweater done. He has all of the sweater pieces knitted, and with the help of Nicole, the sleeves are done! All there is to do now is to sew the pieces together and weave in all the ends and it will be a finished sweater!

I am so excited! Ysolda Teague’s new book, Little Red in the City is on its way! It has been released as an eBook and the print edition is in the mail as we speak! I am so excited to get this one chalk full of sweater patterns, notes, and other goodies on knitting. I think the first thing I will make is Angostura to ease me in, and then build my way up to my favorite pattern, Melia. I love the hood!

I have finished my Bachelors in Business degree and I am done with school! The next step? Finishing my business plan and working on my business! Hopefully I will have more time to get to the blog! I want to start knitting and sewing some more, so I should be putting up some great projects to show and tell.

On a recent trip to Portland with my friends, we stumbled into a hat shop called Goorin Bros. They had walls full of hats. It was so much fun to look at all of them and try them on. I had absolutely no intentions of purchasing a hat, but after trying this one on, I couldn’t resist! If you are in the Portland, OR area, you should definitely check it out!
