So, I’ve been spinning quite a bit lately, and I thought I would share with you some of what I have in my stash.
From bottom of picture to top: Spinning Sister’s Superfine Hand Dyed Merino Wool 2-plied, Targhee Wool Single Ply, Miss Bab’s Sock Yarn 2-plied, Unknown Artist Wool 2-plied, The Soap Lady’s Autumn Merino/Alpaca 2-plied, Spinner’s Choice Corriedale Wool 2-plied, Abstract Fibers Corriedale 2-plied, Alpaca Wool Blend Single Ply, Unknown Artist Coopworth 2-plied, and finally Natural Merino all 2-plied.
This is a closeup of the Natural Handspun Merino Wool. The three on the left were from the same bunch, the one in the middle is Superwash that I picked up from the Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival (OFFF) the year before last, and the three on the right came from Woodland Woolworks in Carlton, OR.
Isn’t my baby precious!? My Ashford Joy Double Treadle with Blue Faced Leicester (BFL) from Frabjous Fibers also picked up from Woodland Woolworks.
My singles on the bobbin. I navajo plied this (3-ply) so that the colorways would stay together and my finished knitted project would be verriegated. I’m making a scarf with a waffle texture and it’s turning out LOVELY! Can’t wait to get some pics up!

Okay, so once again, I have to apologize for being so tardy in my posts. There has been A LOT going on in my life right now and it’s just sometimes really hard to get a breather to sit down and ramble about nothing.
First off, I started school. It’s completely online and I will graduate with a BS with a Small Business Management concentration in the Winter of 2010. That’s exciting! ^_^
Next, I was spinning like a madwoman before Christmas with my Spinning Sisters to get some gifts finished, and also to promote our side business, Spinning Sisters. It’s an Etsy shop where we sell hand dyed spinning fibers and homespun yarns. *I’m not plugging anything. . . ^_^* So, don’t be afraid to give a little click to the link, which is just about every other word in this paragraph. 
Oh, and don’t forget about my own personal site. It’s still a work in progress, but hopefully I will have some reusable shopping totes, hand sewn by me of course, and some more fibery goodness soon.
Now then, on to more wonderful stuff. I have been personally invited by Jess of Phat Fiber to join her in her quest of sample collection for the oh so wonderful Phat Fiber Sampler Box! My Phat Fiber Sample Contributions
Here’s my latest spin, it is BFL (Blue Faced Leicester) spun very small and then navajo plied for a 3 ply yarn. I’m knitting this into a scarf for myself with a basket weave type pattern. Pics of that to come soon.

Well. . .it’s been a while since my last post, and I really have no excuse for it. I apologize. But I’m here now, and here’s the latest. (Links are to Ravelry, so if you don’t have an account, get one. It is the best site ever.)
On my needles: I have my first sweater! I cast Wicked on a few days ago in Dream in Color’s Classy Happy Forest. I only have two rows due to having to frog back to the beginning after discovering I was off on my count and my crossover stitches were in the wrong spots. . . ^o^ Anyway, hopefully I’ll have some time to myself with it later on today.
On my wheel: I have some Corriedale dyed in reds, roses, pinks, and tans. I bought a pound of it for an excellent deal! (It was *slightly* felted from sun exposure, but with some TLC it spins up very nicely.) So I sectioned it into three long bits, and will 3-ply it onto itself. I have one bobbin done, two to go. It’s such a nice day out, maybe I will be able to work on that too! . . .ambitious, aren’t I?
On my mind: My latest obsession is with buttons. I don’t know what started it. . .oh wait, yes I do know. It was Ysolda’s Verity. After knitting it up, I was searching for just the right button to put on it. In my search, I came across several good candidates. Discovering one button inparticular that I really liked, I couldn’t let the others go. So I got them. And I love them. But I don’t know what exactly will become of them. I’m sure I will find some use for them, but for now, they will go into my newly formed button stash. ^_^
So, that’s the latest. I’ll try to post more when there’s more.
I have been frequenting the ‘ol spinning wheel quite a bit the last few days. Ever since our first spinning group met on Saturday the 23rd, I can’t seem to get spinning off the brain. I have two and a half skeins ready to be dyed, one and a half bobbins full of beautiful pre-dyed roving, and two skeins waiting to be liberated from their coils and knit into something fab. I have knit up one of my very first navajo plyed skeins up though. Their new body is a pair of fingerless mits. So pretty. So far, all I have spun with is Merino and Corriedale. The Merino is in the fingerless mits, as well as the two dyed skeins, and the corriedale are the two blank skeins and the pre dyed roving. Well, enough of the talk, time for pictures.
These are my fingerless gloves. They will be first since they are made from the oldest of the skeins.
And next comes the sister skein of the mits. I spun and dyed this lot at the same time, but the colors are more vibrant because they got more time in the cooker.
And now for the Kool Aid dyed skein. It’s done in Cherry, only one pack, however if I had it to do over, I would definately use two for a brighter color.
Onto the undyed Skeins. Lovely pure yarn. I’m still trying to get the hang of spinning smaller, but these are definately getting close.
