June 2018 Paper Pumpkin Pop Up Blog Hop

Welcome, Kre8tors, to the June 2018 Paper Pumpkin Pop Up Blog Hop! I’m so excited to share an alternate project from this month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit, Broadway Star. I absolutely adore the colors in this kit! Green, Pink, and Gold… what more could a girl ask for?!

This alternate card was a lot of fun to put together, and it was so quick! I used the envelope for the card mat by cutting it down to 4″ x 5-1/4″. I also used an additional piece of Basic Black cardstock for the card base, cut to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″.

For the main embellishment, I took one of the Broadway Billboards and put two cakes on it, along with some of the sticker candles. It would look super cute if you added a few pearls to the cakes!

I stamped the Congrats sentiment in Lovely Lipstick, and then wrapped the bakers twine around the card mat twice and finished it off with a bow. I used a mini glue dot to hold the bow in place.

And finally for the inside, I added one of the Whisper White banner stickers along with a Gold Foil Hooray sticker. I just love how it shines!

I hope you enjoyed this alternate project today! Don’t forget to scroll down and watch my video tutorial for this card. Scroll all the way down to the pumpkin icon and click it to continue hopping with the rest of the demonstrators for this Paper Pumpkin Pop Up Blog Hop!

June 2018 Paper Pumpkin Kit Broadway Star

Welcome back, Kre8tors! I have been sitting on the June Paper Pumpkin kit for a few days now, but I finally busted it open and guess what?! I FILMED IT! So here’s a fun new video for you to enjoy featuring the two different card styles from Broadway Star!

The colors in this month’s kit are SO beautiful! I absolutely adore green and pink together. In fact those were the colors of my original logo when I first started Melissa’s Kre8tions! Take a look!

Okay, that’s enough nostalgia for now! Let’s get into the good stuff! I really hope you enjoy this month’s kit, and be sure to check back on June 30th where I will be hopping with the Paper Pumpkin Pop Up Blog Hop crew to show you some fabulous alternates from this kit!

Don’t forget, this kit coordinates beautifully with the Broadway Bound suite in the Annual Catalog. Head over to my online shop to take a peek!

April’s Paper Pumpkin Pop Up Blog Hop

Hello Kre8tors! Welcome to the April Paper Pumpkin Pop Up Blog Hop! I’m so excited about this kit!!! As soon as I opened the box, I knew this was going to be a fun kit to make an alternate project with. I can’t wait to share my idea with you! Don’t forget to scroll down and keep hopping to see SO many other wonderful alternate projects for this kit.

These are the suggested cards inside the kit. I love how we get a cute little box to put these 5 cards in! And BONUS! There’s enough to make three full sets! WOW! That’s a lot of cards! What fun gifts this will make! I really love how I get a monthly delivery of craft supplies with my Paper Pumpkin subscription. It’s a great way to build up some stamps and inks, as well as other supplies. And if I don’t really care for that month’s projects, I can always turn it into something else, like I did with this month’s kit!

I decided to make a mini album with this kit. It was a lot of fun taking different bits and pieces from all the included materials and re-arranging them to make this fun fold mini album! I can’t wait to print out some photos to include inside when I gift it!

I used the cards as the base for the album, and then cut apart the envelopes to make fun interactive pockets for little notes. I also stamped and glued the embellishments from this month’s kit on all the pages.

I loved how creative I was able to get with this mini album. I want to turn this into a scrapbook after I gift it, and put in photos, movie stubs, and maybe even the top of the receipt for the restaurant we go to as a reminder of where we went.

I haven’t been able to get around to making a video tutorial this time. Life has been crazy busy this month with moving and starting a new job! I really hope you enjoyed this project and consider giving Paper Pumpkin a try! You have nothing to lose and MORE craft supplies to gain!!!

Here’s my quick video showing how I put together the little box. AND I got to use my Stamparatus for the first time! (Available at the beginning of June.) At the end of this video is a little snippet of my alternate mini album in more detail. I hope you enjoy!

March Paper Pumpkin Pop Up Blog Hop

Hello everyone and welcome to the first ever Paper Pumpkin Pop Up Blog Hop! I am so excited to be part of such a wonderful blog hop featuring alternate projects for the March 2018 Paper Pumpkin Kit by Stampin’ Up! There are some amazing projects featured by very talented demonstrators, so please be sure to scroll down to the next button to check out all of the other blogs!

I love the shabby-chic vibes I got when putting this kit together. The suggested projects for this kit are beautiful all on their own, but I really like trying to create alternate cards using only the contents of the kit. Scroll down to see a time-lapse video of how I put this card together using one of the envelopes from the kit.

I love that this kit included brads! I love hardware on my cards, and have been missing brads and eyelets. I decided to use two brads on the label because I think it gives this card an extra “oomph”. I cut off the scalloped edge of the flap and used the Crumb Cake side as an accent on the front of my card. I also cut out the two roses from the Flower Seeds packet envelope and paired them with the green die cut leaves. I added a few of the Fresh Fig pearl embellishments and tied some ribbon around the scalloped flap piece.

I love the colors on this card, and how easy it was to put together. Dimensionals are definitely one of my favorite adhesives, and I was so glad Stampin’ Up! added a HUGE sheet of them in this month’s kit, because I doubled up a lot to get several layers on this card.

March 2018 Paper Pumpkin Kit

I simply adored this month’s Paper Pumpkin kit. It was SO adorable with a shabby-chic and vintage vibe. I only made one of the two designs from this month’s kit, and fell in love right away! I wanted to share a few photos of the card I created, and a quick time-lapse video from putting together this card and envelope.

The colors from this month’s kit were so well coordinated, as it is with all of Stampin’ Up!’s products. I really love the pink and purple colors together mixed with the gorgeous neutrals of Crumb Cake and Early Espresso. These colors really complimented the project.

The card was very simple to put together. I used the included stamps for the corner images on the pink background as well as the sentiments on both the card and the envelope. (The card is on the right, envelope is on the left.) The floral and leaf images were already printed on paper. All I had to do was pop them out and glue them down! This kit also included some beautiful Fresh Fig ribbon and pearl embellishments.

I love how easy it is to have a monthly kit delivered to my mailbox. Every month, I have at least 8 projects that I can create quickly and share with my family and friends. The kit includes everything I need to make beautifully coordinated cards or other fun projects. Plus, signing up for a 3-month or longer subscription in March also earns Sale-A-Bration rewards! So it’s a perfect time to get started with this amazing kit!

To learn more, head over to my Paper Pumpkin site, or contact me to talk one on one about how you can use this amazing subscription to jump start your monthly creativity escape!
