Elegant Poinsettia (Last Christmas Card)

Hello Kre8tors and welcome to Wednesday! And a very special Wednesday it is because I’ve brought you a gorgeous, elegant poinsettia using the Climbing Orchid Bundle along with a few other products.

The first one I made was with red and gold, and the one featured in the video is vanilla and silver. I am so very pleased with how both of these turned out! This is probably my favorite Christmas card of the season, right up there with my Eclipse card and the Merry Patterns card.

Cardbase: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″
Mat: 4″ x 5-1/4″

This is the PERFECT little Pillow Box that takes one piece of 6 x 6 designer series paper and DOESN’T require a special die cut or machine! Just a piece of paper, some Tear N’ Tape, and a bone folder!

Of course if you’d like to decorate it you may need a few other items, but the basic Pillow Box takes minimal supplies! I decided to add a “gift-card” to mine before tying the ribbon.

Clean & Quick Cards SERIES 3

Here’s a Star Ornament card for the third card in my series Clean & Quick Cards. I really like how clean this card looks. It takes very few materials and can be made out of virtually any punch or framelit that gives a solid shape.

I also really like how the silver foil shines through. I used Calypso Coral but any color would look fantastic with this card!

Cardbase: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″
Mat: 4″ x 5-1/4″
Silver Foil: 1-1/2″ x 1-1/2″

Clean & Quick Cards SERIES 2

Here’s the second card in my series Clean & Quick Cards! I find these cards are awesome to whip out quickly, especially when I am getting down to the wire with a project! These can easily be made into a card for any occasion by simply replacing the designer series paper and sentiment.

I will post a few more of these Clean & Quick videos, but I want you to let me know if you like these videos. If you do, I’ll keep them coming! And if you don’t, that’s okay! I want to make something that YOU enjoy watching! 😀

Poinsettia from Scratch

I wanted to replicate a pattern on my leggings, but didn’t have the poinsettia punch so I improvised! It’s a bit of a mish-mash, but I think for what I had on hand it came out pretty well. I used a LOT of different framelits and thinlits to get this beautiful Christmas flower, so be sure to check below for all the materials used.

I love finding inspiration for my cards in unexpected places, and I think finding inspiration from a clothing item is so awesome! It’s a color combination that I would have NEVER put together myself, so I’m glad I got out of my comfort bubble to give this a go!

Measurements

Card Base – 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored @ 4-1/4″
Card Mat – 4″ x 5-1/4″
Scrap Pieces – Large enough to cut out assorted pieces
