Petal Palette Masculine Card

Almost ALL of my cards are usually pretty feminine, but I was pretty proud of myself when I came up with a masculine card for Petal Palette.
I think one of the biggest reasons I think this is a great guy card is the Night of Navy cardstock.
I’m sure that if I were to make this with, say, Berry Burst it would be another story.

I really like how the Linen Thread is looped behind the sentiment and how easy it was to shorten the label that comes in the thinlits that coordinate so perfectly with this stamp set! The branches are so beautiful and contrast nicely on the Crumb Cake cardstock.

So many times I often forget to give the inside of my cards lovin’ too, but not on this card! I made sure to use one of the gorgeous sentiments from this stamp set on the inside of my card.

Measurements:

Night of Navy Cardbase: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, score @ 4-1/4″
Crumb Cake Outside Mat: 3-3/4″ x 5″
Very Vanilla Inside Mat: 4″ x 5-1/4″

Materials:

2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop – Occasions Petal Palette

Welcome to the first ever 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop! I’m so excited to start this hop along with some very talented Stampin’ Up! demonstrators! January’s theme is Occasions to celebrate the launch of our 2018 Occasions Catalog! There are some AMAZING goodies in this catalog so be sure to visit each of the links at the end of this blog post to see everyone’s projects!

My project was using the Petal Palette Bundle. I think this is one of my FAVORITE new sets! I am sure I will be getting SO much use out of this bundle! I colored in the roses with our new Stampin’ Blends markers in Rich Razzleberry and our tried and true favorites, the Stampin’ Write markers in Garden Green and Wild Wasabi for the leaves. I did not use the Stampin’ Blends Color Lifter to blend my colors because I love how the outline looks.

This is set against a background of Basic Gray and Smoky Slate with a few fun little flowers falling down from the top of the card. Life is so much better with you in it and I’m so glad you are here to start off this Blog Hop with us!

Measurements:

Cardbase: Rich Razzleberry 4-1/4″ x 11″, score @ 5-1/2″
Mat 1: Basic Gray 4″ x 5-1/4″
Mat 2: Very Vanilla 3-3/4″ x 5″ (x 2)
Scrap Very Vanilla: Approx. 4″ x 5″

Party Pandas Side by Side Card

I made this Side by Side Card about two weeks ago and it has been sitting on my filming table since. I just wasn’t sure I liked how the Foxy Friends set looked with this card. But then, I received my Party Pandas Sale-A-Bration set and inspiration hit! I love how these twirling, dancing, happy pandas look on this card!

The bright colors are also really fun on this whimsical card. It’s perfect for kids both big and small! The Glitter Enamel Dots really punch up the fun factor on this project with their hint of shimmery goodness. I can’t help but smile when I look at this adorable card.
What stamp set do you think would work for this Side by Side Card?

Love these little panda dudes? You can earn them for FREE with a $50 purchase in my online store during Sale-A-Bration! Want even more free stamps and supplies? Petal Palette Split Coloring Technique Card

Okay, it’s no surprise how much I am digging on Petal Palette. I really hope you’re a fan of this stamp set, because I’ve made a couple projects with it so far (Wedding Card and a Top Secret Project TBA), and I have a LOT more planned. I think the split coloring technique looks awesome with this set!

If you’re not a fan of the basic black strip across the card, you could certainly use ribbon. That would look LOVELY! I can just picture this card in all sorts of color combinations!
What color would you use?

Measurements:

Rich Razzleberry Cardbase: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, score @ 4-1/4″
Whisper White Mat: 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″
Basic Black Strip: 1/2″ x 5-1/2″

Clean & Quick Cards SERIES 18 – Mixed Drinks

I’m bringing back a card I made WAY back when… I adore this clean & quick card and know quite a few people that would LOVE to get one of these sweet cards in the mail. It’s such a fun set, and features a lot of great drinks both of the alcoholic and non-alcoholic nature.

For such a FAST and EASY card, it sure does have a lot of character! I think it’s because the shadow below the glass adds some texture to an otherwise very clean card. The Cherry Cobbler ink makes a great red wine, such as a Merlot but could easily be substituted for So Saffron for a white wine like Riesling. Mmmm, my favorite!

Cardbase: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, score @ 4-1/4″
